About "Boogie A Life With The Devil."
This full length novel grew out of the Five Star short story, "Blackbird A Young Boy Meets the Devil For the First Time."
It follows the little boy from that first meeting with the devil, all the way through his life... until the surprise end.
Meet "Bill the Blackbird" and "Boogie McCain" and a host of other interesting characters...
As the devil never gives up in trying to get Boogie to sign away his soul... in return for fame and fortune...
and a few other things as well!

This review is from Blackbird A Boy Meets The Devil For the First Time ( Edition)
I've been reading about 70 years and Blackbird is one of those rare nuggets of pure gold in a whole mountain of clay . It plays out like the blues, full of riffs and bass and gravel that spin themselves into a mirror of soul not ashamed to get down and dirty and come up dragging us into a light we refused to open our eyes to before. Don't let the stomp and shuffle and guffaws fool you into thinking it's not about you, you ain't gonna get off that easy. I was in Gadsden Alabama for about three months in 1958, and he's not telling any lies. It was my first experience with deep southern segregationist views. A great morality tale told by a masterful and powerful writer about a very unique character.
About this story
(Please Note This is a short story or article. It is not an eBook. Please do not purchase if you desire it to be a long eBook. It is not.)
THEN HER WIG FELL OFF is a story that I heard and wrote about, in a Hair Salon, the same one that is pictured on the cover of the book.
Inside you will meet the person I call "The Magician" who takes anyone who walks through the door, and not only makes their hair look better, but makes them FEEL better as well.
Even if they are old... or have cancer.
This story has received over 100 positive comments...
By far the most popular thing I, the author has ever written.
We're all human, both the beautiful, and the not so, those in their prime, and those dying.
This is a story that lifts the human spirit.

I have now read several of Bevis' stories, and they come in "all shapes and sizes" (so to speak). Some of them have been okay; some I have not liked at all; and some (like this one) have been absolute gems! This is one of those storIes everyone should read: it will give you a smile and a good feeling to carry you through the day. This is the story of the woman (excuse me - the magician) who cuts Will's hair. Apparently she is one in a million! I can tell you I have never been to a barber shop (with the men in the family) or a hair salon that had anyone working there who could compare to this woman. If there had been, I would have been like Will and remained a customer for my entire life!
Put your feet up, grab a glass of tea, and enjoy the next few minutes while you read about the woman's sister and learn about the time her wig fell off (among many other funny tales). See if you don't have a smile by the time you get to the end.

THEN HER WIG FELL OFF Sometimes You Just Need to Laugh edition by Will Bevis Humor Entertainment eBooks Reviews
This cute and humorous, but not a book. Maybe I misread the description, but I thought this was a book and not a few pages of humor.
4 stars for a quick read...this is not a novel but a short story about a man getting older. Has some hilarious little blurbs throughout. I was amused.
I enjoyed this story very much. It was very funny and I liked it a lot.I would recommend it for a quick read
We're all growing old. It's just a fact of life. Will's perspective of the women at the beauty shop is priceless. I'm certain I know the walker woman (& you do too!). A giggle from beginning to end.
Will Bevis has a way of bringing into his world, past or present, and enjoying every moment of it. This little adventure in a beauty salon both takes you back to a beauty shop in your past and delivers you resoundingly into the one he describes. I laughed and then I treasured the little wonderful things in life - just like Will does. Enjoy!
Then Her Wig Fell Off is a very short story, but one you'll enjoy reading! It's a snapshot of an otherwise ordinary incident... the author's visit to a beauty salon. Yet the author describes the events of that moment with such warmth and color you feel like you're there with him. You find yourself thinking that you know people just like the people there, and you enjoy experiencing this brief slice of their lives. I encourage you to give this story a try! You'll be glad you did!
The main plot is about a guy who is depressed about whatever going to get his hair cut to lift his spirits. It just did not work for me. I did chuckle a little while reading, but it was so haphazard in it's delivery of what was going on. The dialogue went from one thing to the next without any real connection. Some of the stories seem to have some humor to them, but overall, I found this lacking in creating a full plot, connecting one part to the next. It seemed more like a connection of free thoughts. The author did capture the dialogue well, though, when using the phrases of southern folk, and for that, I gave it 2 stars.
